Nephi's Testimony

Nephi was one of Lehi's sons. Unlike his two older brothers, Nephi sought to understand the things which his father had prophesied unto them, especially his prophecies concerning the coming of the Saviour. Because of his faith and dilligence, the Lord made him ruler and teacher over his older brethren (1 Nephi 3:29), and he was privileged to see the whole ministry of the Savior in a vision (1 Nephi 11 - 12). Although he had to suffer much persecution from his older brothers during his life, he never lost faith and remained true and faithful to the end.
